Just like Art, Bart has spent some time in France and has fallen in love with the pizza oil found on every table. Just because you missed out on paying inflated prices for my limited edition Pizza Pizzazz doesn’t mean you can’t treat your pizza right.
Grab an empty wine bottle and fill it with:
2 cups olive oil
1 tablespoon whole black peppercorns
3 Bay leaves (fresh if you can find them)
3 dry japones chiles (seeds included)
1 teaspoon Herbes de Provence
3 branches fresh thyme
Seal the bottle with a cork and store in a cool, dark place for 3 weeks to allow the oil to become infused with the flavors.
Not sure what to do when the oil is ready? Slap it on some pizza, naturally.
